Celebrities are using their bully pulpits to whip up anger in their followers against Trump, sure, but also those who support him. They are all part of a shared reality in which a guy giving a speech about fighting for your country by “peacefully protesting” can be interpreted as being a traitor, for which the penalty is literally death.
