As a conservative, there are two incorrect responses to cultural marxism (probably more, but I am focused here on the ones that I am tempted to respond with).
The first is sort of a squeamish acceptance. Sort of a, “well, I don’t think everything they’re saying is all spot-on, but I don’t want to come out being against equality or anything so I’ll let it go.” The second (the one I am more tempted by) is to be like, “well, we’re not going to agree on everything, so let me be and you do you.”
The problem with that is that cultural marxists are not satisfied with that. They are dangerous. Sure, not all of them–not even most of them. But as long as they are tolerated, the dangerous ones get stronger, they will destroy more and more people.
Evidence A: the story of Jane Doe from the Glenn Beck podcast, Feb 17, 2021. With cultural marxism, any white person can be canceled, whether they are guilty or not, by merely an accusation–even one that is verifiably false! It doesn’t matter if you are an “ally” or if you post black squares on Instragram or whatever, there is no stopping someone from canceling you if they decide they want to. Listen to Jane’s story here:
This is possible in today’s world because we have allowed this ideology to fester and escape the universities–allowed it and even encouraged it through our culture. To the people who helped this along–it will come back to bite you. And I get no pleasure in saying that, because it will be a problem for me and my family at some point–for everyone.
