There is something, I don’t know… comforting? about familiar software. Don’t get me wrong, I am totally an early adopter sometimes, and I like trying out the latest and greatest stuff. Sometimes I’ll totally scrap a program I like using and move to something different.
But once I have found what I think is the best software, there is something really great about getting back to it. For awhile I have been using the Brave browser built in homepage. Don’t get me wrong, I like Brave, but the Momentum dashboard has always been my favorite. It gives you a calming, beautiful backdrop, informs you of the time and weather, and gives you quick access to your top used sites. Throw in a little quote at the bottom that I sometimes glance at. I finally reenabled it today and I am glad.
The free version of the dashboard is what I use–it’s more than enough. But it does have a paid option with additional features. Unlike many free options, it doesn’t go out of its way to make you feel like a second-class citizen.
